Chris, Lori, Stephanie and Ryne joined the work of Pioneer Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea in March of 1998. Their first term they worked in Madang as a support team. Chris worked for the Technical Services Department as well as in the Computer Department. Lori worked in the Finance Department. Their second term in PNG began on August of 2000. They attended the Pacific Orientation Course for 16 weeks. February of 2001 they completed a survey of the Anamgura language group near Josephstaal. In June of 2001 Chris and Todd Owen completed another survey in the Sob language group near Usino. From this survey it was determined that the Sob would make a viable language project. A three day Translation Awareness Workshop was held at Usino village (Bantik) in September. Then in October of 2001 Chris and Lori first went to Igoi village to begin learning the Sob language. Chris graduated from Lincoln Christian College in 1994 with a BA in World Missions. From there they moved to Dallas, Texas to enroll in the SIL program. Stephanie is a senior at Lincoln Christian College. She is a Christian Business Administration major. Steph loves any kind of sports, but loves basketball and soccer the most. Ryne is in the 12th grade at Ukarumpa International High School. Ryne is enjoying his time in PNG and especially loves to go out to the different villages. He has even learned how to paddle a canoe while standing up. Ryne enjoys reading, basketball, and computer games. Chris enjoys playing on his computer, reading, golf and snorkelling.(Sometimes the snorkelling comes in handy for retrieving golf balls.) Lori likes to read, sew and do cross stitch. Birthdays:
