The Branch Newsletter of PBT-PNG
The Papua New Guinea Branch of Pioneer Bible Translators publishes a quarterly newsletter. The newsletter is named The Storyboard after the carvings that are done in the Sepik River region of Papua New Guinea. These carvings are used to tell traditional ancestral stories mainly because most of these peoples do not have a written language.
Most articles are written by our own missionaries. The articles often express the joys, sorrows and pains of working in the Bible translation ministry.
Other articles are written from an outsider perspective. Often others are able to express the meaningful relationship we have here in Papua New Guinea with nationals, other missions and other expatriate community members.
Occasionally we call upon our younger generation to contribute. Missionary kids sometimes have a totally different perspective on things and we give them their chance to express that and develop their writing skills.
